Seventh Birthday

Urjit celebrated his 7th birthday on 10th March 2010 at AROMAS, Koregaon Park, Pune. He was so happy and excited and after celebrating last two birthdays in Manipur, this one was a good change for him. He wanted to invite all his close friends from his class and from our society. He wanted to have a BEN10 birthday theme party and was happy with all the arrangements we did. According to him, it was his best birthday ever.
In the morning he went to school with gifts and chocolates for all his classmates and teachers and was dressed in his cool shiny shirt and pant(as he says). That day he wanted us to drop him to school and pick him up as he did not want to go in the school bus. We went to AROMAS at 4pm and did all the decoration with the help of cafe staff and the place was looking really cool. There were so many balloons but the staff was not keen to hang all of them due to their wall decor and finally it was decided that all the balloons will be just left on the floor… my god.. all the kids just went mad bursting the balloons.. and it was good to see all of them having fun.
There were two sets of games, one was a statue/posing game where all the kids were were asked to choose a partner and music was played..when the music stops, they were supposed to pose either as hum-tum, dostana or jab we met style… and one by one.. the movie names were called out.. kids in that particular movie pose were out and the two players who were left were declared the winners. The second one was spot the birthday boy on the birthday poster. It was very similar to pin the tail or draw the tail game with kids blindfolded and asked to spot the birthday boy from the poster. Urjit also played this game and he could spot himself on the poster. Finally it was time for cutting the BEN10 cake and then pizza time. Kids enjoyed the pizza,garlic bread, fries, cakes and the drinks.
After his birthday celebration with kids, we had a dinner party with family members and friends. So it was a great day and Urjit ahd to miss his school next day as he was so tired after the birthday celebration. These are some of the photos from his birthday celebration… enjoy!!
