About God and Sri Krishna

This morning after his daily routine of kissi and huggi, Urjit asked..”Mamma, how can Krishna be so big in 9 years only?” I was wondering what he is asking, and was not getting what to answer. Then he explained to me that in Sri Krishna serial the actor who plays Krishna looks so big and somewhere he read that Krishna spent only 9 years in Gokul. I was trying to recollect.. how many years, and when Krishna goes to Mathura.. suddenly Urjit’s dad said “What is this Sanna, these days, most of the time you are talking about God, reading about them (most of the time, you will find Urjit lost in the book Dasavataar, reading about all the 10 avtaars of Lord Vishnu), I think it is all because of your nani (Urjit had been to nani’s place yesterday for the whole day).”

Urjit just gave his typical disapproving look to his dad and went into the bathroom. After his dad left for office, he came to me and he says:
He: Mamma, I want to ask you something.
Me: Ok ask.
He: See, there are three points. 1st, papa watches Sri Krishna everyday. I only get to watch it sometimes .( I have restricted his TV time to only friday night for Sri Krishna and Saturday morning for some cartoon serials. It is another story that he is watching Sri Krishna everyday due to the swine flu holidays).
Me: Yes I know.
He : Second point, I see that papa prays everyday. I also pray to God.. but sometimes..
Me: Ok then.
He: Third point, you will often see papa saying “Oh My God”, “Oh My God” when he talks and I don’t say “Oh My GOd”. So then tell me, who is talking more about God?
Me: Yes it is papa.
He: Then why he was saying like that to me.
Me: I will tell to papa, he was just teasing you.

So finally he was happy that I will convey his message and he could not wait for me to convey. As soon as his dad was home for lunch.. he said all the three points to his dad and made him realize :)

Urjit turned vegetarian

urjit-turned-vegetarian

Urjit has turned vegetarian since last one month. He is very happy about it. And we being proper fish/chicken eaters, my task has increased as I have to always cook separately for him. He was not eating eggs also but finally I convinced him to eat eggs atleast as he loves cakes.

When his dad asked him, why he has turned vegetarian all of a sudden…. he replies that God has asked him to do so and when we asked him further which God, he replied that it is Bobo Mamu. His mamu has told him not to eat non-veg. We tried explaining him that his mamu used to eat chicken and non-veg so Urjit replies that his mamu used to eat non-veg earlier .. and not now.. these days he eats only veg food.

Writing after a long time on Urjit’s blog. Had been too busy with work and managing my BIG boy now. he reminds me every time that he is a BIG boy now, he being 6 year old. We celebrated his birthday in Manipur with all the family members and extended family members and Urjit enjoyed it. Will soon post  his birthday photos.

I wanted to share this clipping from Good HouseKeeping magazine, where I won 5K INR gift hamper for the best letter of the month. When I was showing him the magazine, first he said that I should have mentioned my surname with my name ( good point). And then he was upset that there was no gift for him, and I promised to buy him the gift. Here is the clipping from the magazine :)

Hobby Ideas

My son is very good in sketching and drawing.. I think all moms think like that :) Yesterday, Urjit saw me writing his name on his new backpack with the Fabric Pen. I had purchased a few pens when I visited this Hobby Ideas exhibition. Urjit had nothing interesting to do yesterday, so he requested me to give the fabric pen to him and he wanted to draw something. I took out his old tshirt and gave it to him and told him that, he is free to do anything on that tshirt only(I made this point very clear that it has to be only this particular tshirt), otherwise I am sure, he would have taken out his other tshirts too.. and shown his creative skills :)

And after a few minutes, I heard him shouting.. Nani what is Warriors spelling..My mom was like “Warriors?”. And then he started explaining what warriors are.. and he was shouting..Mamma fast.. tell me Warriors spelling? I shouted back..W A R R I O R S. And after some time, he came running to me with his tshirt in hand and I must say, I was quite happy to see his design. He had drawn a few dragons and he called them.. Dragon Warriors. I don’t know why he likes the dragons and dynosaurs so much.

See the lovely tshirt design, if you want one like this, you can send a request to my son :)

And here, he is sporting his own design.

Urjit's design

After seeing his design, his nani said..”wah, ab to hum dukan khol sakte hain, Sanna tum school mat jao abhi, tshirt hi design karo and nani will sell” and Urjit was quick to add “nani, tshirt fold karne ke liye bhi koi chahiye..” Nani replied..”tumhari mummy ko rakh lenge“. And Urjit was so excited and he was telling their idea to me. He was wearing the tshirt for the whole day ( though it is small for him), and he was showing to everyone and was feeling so proud.
