Writing after a long time on Urjit’s blog. Had been too busy with work and managing my BIG boy now. he reminds me every time that he is a BIG boy now, he being 6 year old. We celebrated his birthday in Manipur with all the family members and extended family members and Urjit enjoyed it. Will soon post  his birthday photos.

I wanted to share this clipping from Good HouseKeeping magazine, where I won 5K INR gift hamper for the best letter of the month. When I was showing him the magazine, first he said that I should have mentioned my surname with my name ( good point). And then he was upset that there was no gift for him, and I promised to buy him the gift. Here is the clipping from the magazine :)

Hobby Ideas

My son is very good in sketching and drawing.. I think all moms think like that :) Yesterday, Urjit saw me writing his name on his new backpack with the Fabric Pen. I had purchased a few pens when I visited this Hobby Ideas exhibition. Urjit had nothing interesting to do yesterday, so he requested me to give the fabric pen to him and he wanted to draw something. I took out his old tshirt and gave it to him and told him that, he is free to do anything on that tshirt only(I made this point very clear that it has to be only this particular tshirt), otherwise I am sure, he would have taken out his other tshirts too.. and shown his creative skills :)

And after a few minutes, I heard him shouting.. Nani what is Warriors spelling..My mom was like “Warriors?”. And then he started explaining what warriors are.. and he was shouting..Mamma fast.. tell me Warriors spelling? I shouted back..W A R R I O R S. And after some time, he came running to me with his tshirt in hand and I must say, I was quite happy to see his design. He had drawn a few dragons and he called them.. Dragon Warriors. I don’t know why he likes the dragons and dynosaurs so much.

See the lovely tshirt design, if you want one like this, you can send a request to my son :)

And here, he is sporting his own design.

Urjit's design

After seeing his design, his nani said..”wah, ab to hum dukan khol sakte hain, Sanna tum school mat jao abhi, tshirt hi design karo and nani will sell” and Urjit was quick to add “nani, tshirt fold karne ke liye bhi koi chahiye..” Nani replied..”tumhari mummy ko rakh lenge“. And Urjit was so excited and he was telling their idea to me. He was wearing the tshirt for the whole day ( though it is small for him), and he was showing to everyone and was feeling so proud.

Future Planning

Urjit loves talking about his future and most of the time he keeps discussing about his future. It is his favorite topic. He wants to have a Big house, big garden and everything BIG in his house. The other day, Urjit was asking his dad “Papa, where exactly is this boarding school?”. When his papa asked him, “Why?”. He replies.. “I want to know, where it is, because I have to send my kids to these boarding schools no..” It really made me laugh. He is in 1st standard only and he has started planning for his kids schools ;)

These days he is having Diwali Holidays, so we both were busy making videos and recoding songs. He enjoys singing and dancing. This is the latest video, where he is singing various songs and then he sings his favorite aarti ‘hare krishna, hare rama..’

My beta

My beta has got a new pet and he is very fond of his new pet. He has named it Bruno and loves to cuddle the pet all the time. He wants me to bring along his Bruno, when we go pick him up from school. He always keep talking to his pet and he likes the fact that his Bruno does not do potty..!! He says..”Bruno, if you ever become a live dog, then also.. you just bark… Ok.. don’t do any susu and potty..

My beta has a habit of saying pick upping instead of picking up. He says qweet.. for cute.

My beta was busy making a website in his sketch book for his bobo mamu when he saw that we are working on Bob’s site. He  made  various sections  like Bobo mamu’s school, Bobo mamu’s college, Bobo mamu’s zoo… He calls it bobomamu.com. Whenever I tell him that I am feeling sad and missing Bobo mamu, he tells me..”Mamma don’t be sad for mamu now, mamu is a God now and he is up in the sky.”

My beta was so excited when he joined school after a break of more than 4 months. All his old friends were happy to see him back in school and all the didis and bhaiyyas were also happy to see Urjit baba, back in school. He is in the same school since he was just 1.5 yrs. old. My beta is very fond of telling everyone that he is in PYP I class.

My beta loves to call up his nani and mausi as he knows those two numbers by heart other than his mom and dad’s number. He always calls up his mausi and starts making plan for saturdays and sundays.

My beta makes it a point to goto sleep early so that he can get up early and is not late for his school. In fact he also asks me to sleep early so that I can cook his tiffin and keep it ready in time.He loves to take bath on his own and play under the shower. He feels that he is a grown up boy now and he can take bath himself. He also loves taking bubble bath in the bath tub and he will request me for a bubble bath everyday.

My beta loves to sing “Pappu can’t dance.. saala..”. Loves to listen to Radio Micrchi in the car. He loves music and gets very irritated when we talk in the car.

My beta is a great fan of dinosaurs. And he can give a good speech on dinosaurs, type of dinosaurs, the various periods of dinosaurs. He is waiting eagerly to see all the Jurrassic Park movies. We showed him this movie called Shaolin Soccer and he enjoyed it so much. These days he loves to watch the serial Jai Shri Krishna on Colors channel.

My beta knows that we can find anything and everything on the internet. If he asks me some question, and I say..”beta, I don’t know..” He will reply “You can check it on the internet Mamma and tell me.”

My beta often teases his dad. When his dad calls me and asks for my opinion regarding any topic or mails to be sent to client, my beta will say “Mamma.. i think papa should also goto school again and do writing and reading. He is always asking you.” He loves to join in most of our communication and give his valuable inputs. On dusshera both of us were busy making marigold garlands for the car, doors and the mandir and from the flowers, he got two worms. First one, when he showed it to his dad, his dad threw it. He got another one, so he got a nice tiifin for the worm, got some leaves and flower petals, made a nice home for the worm and kept playing with it.. he started calling it wormy.. wormy.. he was telling me that his wormy will soon turn into a butterfly :) . When he again showed the next worm to his dad, his dad shouted..”Sanna, why are you playing with that..throw it away”. My beta came to me and he is telling me slowly..”this papa, he will never know what kids like and what kids don’t like”. I just smiled.

My beta came from school very excited the other day. When I asked what happened.. he says.. you know mamma, my library mam knows manipuri. She was speaking to me in manipuri. He said.. I don’t know what she was saying, but I know it was manipuri only. He adds..”i told my m’am that my papa also speaks manipuri” When his teacher asked you don’t know manipuri.. he replied.. I only know ishing(water), chak chare(had food).

My beta asked me a very intelligent question last week. He was asking me..”mamma, when my heart wants to say something then does it come from my mouth or my mind is saying what i am saying.” I asked him if this is something related to their class discussions, whether his mam said like that. He says no.. he only wants to know and was telling me that in his school they are reading about public places these days. SO most of their discussions are related to public places and he was explaining movie hall, hospitals, railway stations are all public places and one day, their teacher gave them an assignment to write down the list of public places and one of the kids wrote ‘chocolate’ as public place…and how everyone in the class had a good laugh.

My beta was narrating me some incident today and he said.. you know air hostel(he meant air hostess) mamma.. I was like.. air hostel? yes air hostel, those who serve food and give juice and chocolates..I said.. you mean me.. I also serve food and give you juice and chocolates too.. but you are just home hostel mamma.. he tells me.

My beta loves to sing aarti with his nani and has learnt to sing ‘hare rama hare krishna’. He was requesting me to compile a book of all the aartis that I know so that both of us could sing it together when we do our pooja.
