New Year Resolutions
Jan 4th, 2008 by admin
New Year is a good time for everyone to make resolutions. Some make resolution to stop drinking, some to stop smoking, most common ones are to loose weight.. and the list goes on. Well for my son Urjit, resolutions are made everyday and he breaks it as the day progresses. Every morning before jumping out of bed, as soon as he gets up, he will give me a nice big smile and then a big hug.. and then he will start making his resolution for the say. It happens almost everyday and it goes like this … “Mamma, today I will be a very good boy, I will listen to what you say, I will not watch TV, I will not play computer games, I will not eat ice cream, I will not eat Kurkure, I will eat all the healthy food you give me, all the vegetables, I will do lots of writing work.. tables, numbers, color names, vegetables names….” and he will add further..”I will see TV for only half an hour… and when you say Urjit, half an hour over, I will swtich off, I will play games also for just 30 minutes.. Ok mummy.. today I will be very good boy.”And you should see him, as the day progresses, he forgets all the resolutions he made and is always jumping from one corner to another, trying to get hold of the tv remote or the laptop and he will start asking for only 1 small packet of kurkure.
So resolutions are made to be broken. It is very true in Urjit’s case. These days he is very happy as we have painted his room and he also did one small corner. Now he has plans to make it more beautiful so we both plan to sit together on weekend, check out some nice stencils to decorate the walls. He knows that on internet, you can find everything. He also realizes that you have to type in proper word to get the results (may be mamma’s seo knowledge has passed on to him
). The other day he was telling me that he saw Ben 10 toys are available in India and he saw the ad on TV. I said.. I don’t know where it is available.. so he was quick to reply me.. you have to search on the internet… you have to type B E N and then 1 and 0 and ask for India and when it shows in India, where it is available… we can go there and buy that toy!
Now that his room is painted and decorated, he was asking his papa to buy him one TV and one computer. He must have been thinking that if I have my own TV and computer, then I need not have fights with papa for TV remote and with mamma for the laptop!! So my beta is grown up now
