Fifth Birthday!!

Urjit is eagerly waiting for his 5th birthday and this year it is going to be grand and big! We are planning to get his mundan done on the same day as the day is very auspicious. So the arrangments have already begun and we have booked our flight tickets for Manipur. Urjit is eagerly waiting for the big day. I have purchased a cute dhoti kurta for the ceremony and then for the evening party it is going to be a formal black suit.
Since last 5 years, we were thinking of getting his mundan done but the time was not suitable due to office work and then our travel. It is good that finally we were able to plan it and it will be a good occasion to meet with all the relatives. Urjit’s grandparents are so excited.
Usually in hindu culture, you should get your child’s mundan done once and one should not cut hairs before that mundan ceremony. But you also need to do some adjustment if required and since Urjit always used to get rashes during summer, we got his hair cut done when he was around 2 years old.
