Happy New Year 2011

Wish you a very happy and prosperous new year 2011.

I was very busy with Urjit’s little brother Nirajit, so there was no time to update Urjit’s site. Very soon he will start doing it on his own :)

So here are some snaps of Urjit with Nirajit (we call him Neo).

Baby Urjit and Nirajit – do they look same??

Urjit’s 7th Birthday

Urjit was so excited about his birthday and was busy making plans.. whom to call, what theme should the party be.. what gifts to take to school, what return gifts he is going to give.. so many things. Even the guest list he prepared on his own.. we had no say in that. He wanted to invite all his friends only. I wanted to host it in the Army Club, we went there, showed him the place.. but he was not very keen.. he wanted to do at Pizza Hut as they have a BEN 10 Birthday theme. And he loves pizzas from Pizza Hut. But when we went to check in the place, i did not like it very much as the area was sort of mixed with their regular walk-in customers.

And by the time we finalised to do it in Pizza Hut, to keep his wish.. someone had already booked it. We will call it his good luck :) . On our way home we decided to check out in the AROMAS cafe as it was so near to our place and the place was on the main road, easy for all the other kids to reach. When we went and enquired, they were ready but informed that we need to do all the decoration on our own, they will just take care of the eatables, as and how we order. That gave us advantage in one way as we could make the decor look cool. And since Urjit’s mausi is herself a VM working with a big retail chain, there was no worry.. we went and purchased all the required items for the BIG DAY. And his mausi decided to get a BEN10 artwork printed which could act as the backdrop. She asked me for Urjit’s snap, i sent it to her.. she sent me the artwork and asked my opinion.. i saw liked it.. and gave a go ahead..this was the artwork

So after taking my approval, she sent it for printing. When Urjit returned from his school, I showed him expecting him to be happy about it. When he saw the artwork, he just freaked out..was very angry, picked up my cell and called his mausi… and he was shouting “Bem mausi, how dare you can do like that?” And my sis from the other end, was wondering what happened. She asked him, why he is so angry.. and Urjit continued ” how dare you can make me wear a skirt and wear those girls sandals”. And then i noticed what he was saying… since there was not much time, my sis had just put Urjit’s face on top of Gwen’s  (Ben’s sister) photo and she did not change the lower portion thinking that noone will notice also. So finally she promised Urjit that she will get it changed. By the time she enquired, those guys had already printed it out. She asked them to reprint the new one.. which looked like this :

SO on his birthday we had both the prints and we were teasing that we will put the first one. Urjit was happy with the final result. See more photos of Urjit enjoying and having fun on his BIG day. According to him, it was his best birthday ever. And he says, he will have BEN10 theme next year also. Let’s see :)

Urjit as Traffic Signal

This Children’s Day, there was Fancy Dress Show in Urjit’s school and to spread awareness about the traffic rules, we made him a traffic signal. He was looking very cute in his Traffic Signal Costume. Urjit was very thankful to his mausi for making the costume for him.

Stone Painting

This was his school assignment – stone painting. We were busy looking around for a smooth stone which can be used for Urjit’s painting. We found one from the Oakwood hotel and since we frequent the hotel, the security personnel gave it happily.

Urjit was planning to draw a mummy on the stone. I knew he was referring to a mummy, but I just asked.. are you going to draw my photo.. and he was like.. no mamma.. u know mummies.. you know pyramid and was busy explaining how mummies are and then searched through some of his story books to show me how it looks. I said.. I don’t like the idea.. drawing mummy on a stone… then he changed his mind and he came up with this lovely stone painting of Lord Krishna. His teacher asked him to keep that in a corner of the house as a decorative peice, we have kept it in the puja ghar :)
